Any of you getting pushback from inspectors on residential NG line tests lately? I’m a gas fitter and my AHJ just started requiring 15 psi for 30 minutes with a calibrated gauge plus documented CSST bonding, and I’m curious what your jurisdictions are calling out so I can standardize procedures and keep installs safe.
Here it’s 10 psi/15 min with calibrated digital gauge; CSST bond photo required, @OP?
I’ve been passing consistently by doing a temp‑stabilized nitrogen test — pressurize to 15 psi, wait for the needle to stop drifting, then start the 30 minutes and include a photo of the gauge’s calibration sticker plus the #6 CU on the CSST bond per https://www.csstsafety.com. @OP, does your AHJ accept nitrogen or are they insisting on air?
