We should push plumbing as a first-choice - it’s a safer bet for a lot of kids than a vague four-year plan, because you earn while you learn and don’t rack up debt. My first-year apprentice cleared $48k with OT last year and will be near $80k as a journeyman, so let’s get counselors setting up shadow days and shop visits so teens see that path up close.
