On baths, my quickest rough-in save is remembering the trap arm rule — “max fall to the vent = one pipe diameter” — I Sharpie it on my level so it doesn’t bite me later. I’d add a bold line for cleanout access — ‘18 in clear for 3-in+; 12 in for smaller’ (IPC 708.10); it’s the one I still see buried behind furnaces. Also, even though IPC allows 5 psi air or 10 ft head, some AHJs here ban air tests outright, so a note to ‘verify local amendments’ would save callbacks. Saves you from playing contortionist with a cheater bar later.
Quick add from the field: underline “no horizontal venting until 6 in above the flood rim” (IPC 905.5) — I still see flat vents under floors get tagged; 45° is usually treated as vertical… @sreynolds’ trap-arm note pairs well, but some AHJs tweak this for island vents, so flag local amendments.
One thing I’d throw on the sheet is pipe protection at studs, @OP — IPC 305.8 wants 1.5 in clearance from the face or 0.062-in steel plates where we’re closer, and inspectors love to see that called out on rough. On engineered studs and multi-bore walls I over-plate the whole run so a late drywall screw doesn’t turn into a leak; some AHJs are fine with singles, but a continuous guard saves arguments.
On your “10 ft water head” test, @OP, block stacks and risers with full rubber test balls (tethered) instead of wing‑nut plugs; the cheap ones creep under head and you wind up hunting phantom leaks… If you’re running the 5 psi air test in winter, a low‑range gauge (0–15 psi with 0.1 increments) catches tiny drops before the inspector shows.
